Getting started
What does ApplyJobs do?
You upload your resume and answer the questions employers always ask — work authorization, sponsorship, salary, notice period — once. Then you choose jobs: paste a job link, paste a company’s whole job board, search our index of open roles, or save a search. ApplyJobs reads each application form, answers every question from your profile, and our Chrome extension submits it from your own browser. We can also review your resume with AI and suggest specific improvements.
Why apply to so many jobs?
Because everyone else does. Job seekers now apply in bulk — often with tools like this one — so every opening gets far more applicants than it used to, and any single application is less likely to lead to an interview. Applying to a handful of roles by hand puts you behind. ApplyJobs gives you the same reach: every role that fits your search, applied to with answers from your real experience. The other thing that moves your odds is your resume, which is why we offer an AI resume review too.
Which job sites does it work with?
Jobs whose application form is hosted on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby — the applicant tracking systems many startups and tech companies use (job-boards.greenhouse.io, jobs.lever.co and jobs.ashbyhq.com, plus Greenhouse’s and Lever’s EU sites). Some companies list jobs there but take applications on their own careers site; we can’t fill those, and we tell you so before anything is charged.
Why do I need the Chrome extension?
Application forms are protected against bots, and automated browsers running in data centers get flagged. The extension submits from your own Chrome and your own internet connection — the way you’d apply yourself — in a background tab. It can only see Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby job pages and ApplyJobs itself, and on job sites it only acts in the tabs it opens — it can’t see other websites or your browsing history. Details are on our security page.
Does my computer need to be on?
Yes. The extension works while Chrome is open on your computer and checks for queued applications about once a minute. When Chrome is closed, applications simply wait in your queue.
Applying
Can I apply to every role at a company?
Yes. Paste the company’s Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby job board link, pick the kinds of jobs you want — say software and data engineering, senior and above, remote — and apply to every match at once, up to 500 at a time. There's no per-company cap unless you set one in your job preferences.
How fresh are the jobs?
We re-read every company’s job board every 6 hours, and again when someone opens a board that hasn’t been checked in the last 1 hour. Search shows when the index was last updated, each company page shows when its job list was last checked, and postings a company takes down drop out when we next read its board.
What do saved searches do?
Save any search and switch on auto-apply: when new postings that match appear in our index, ApplyJobs applies to them for you — only postings published in the last 14 days, up to the daily limit you set for that search (default 25, at most 500 a day), within your credits and any per-company limit you’ve set. It never goes back and applies to jobs that were already listed when you switched it on.
Do I have to review every application?
No. Once you’ve authorized automatic submissions in your profile, applications go out on their own, and each one gets a receipt showing exactly what was submitted. Anything a form asks that we can’t answer truthfully comes back to you as a question instead of being guessed. Want to watch it first? Turn on Dry run in the extension and it fills forms without submitting them.
What happens when a site shows a CAPTCHA?
We never try to solve or get around it. The extension leaves the tab open and sends you a notification; you finish the check and it picks up the confirmation. If the check isn’t finished within 30 minutes, the application is closed and you aren’t charged.
Is there a limit on how many applications I can send?
Up to 500 new applications per account in any 24 hours, from every source combined. The extension also pauses a few seconds between applications to be gentle with the job sites.
Answers & AI
Will it make things up?
No. Facts come from your resume, your profile and answers you’ve saved. Screening questions — work authorization, sponsorship, relocation, salary, notice period — are answered from your standing answers, never guessed. Free-text answers are written from your real experience and the job description, and the AI is instructed never to invent employers, titles, dates, degrees, skills or numbers. Every answer is checked against the form before it’s used, and required questions we can’t answer truthfully are sent to you.
Who writes answers to “Why do you want to work here?”
By default they’re drafted in your voice from your resume and the job description. Prefer to write them yourself? Choose “Ask me” in your profile and those questions come to you instead. When a form requires a cover letter, one is written the same way and attached as a PDF.
What if an employer asks me to confirm I didn’t use AI?
We never make that statement for you. By default those applications are skipped — and not charged. You can instead choose to have them filled only with answers you wrote yourself.
How are voluntary self-identification questions answered?
Gender, race, veteran and disability questions are answered “decline to self-identify” unless you choose otherwise in your profile. Optional marketing emails and talent-pool checkboxes are left unticked.
Resume review
What does the resume review include?
A score and a one-line verdict, what’s working, the issues holding your resume back — each with a specific fix — and rewrites of your weakest bullet points, plus quick checks on contact details, length and structure. Give it a target role or a job link and it also lists the role’s keywords your resume is missing. Each review costs 2 credits; if a review fails, they come back automatically.
Will the review change my resume?
No. It suggests; you decide what to use and upload the new version yourself. Rewrites start from your own bullets and are checked so they never add a number you didn’t write — where one would help, there’s a placeholder like [X%] for you to fill in. Read each one and keep only what’s true for you.
Credits & billing
How much does it cost?
Applications on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby cost 1 credit each, and an AI resume review costs 2 credits. Credits come in one-time packs starting at $9 for 25, down to $0.10 per credit — no subscription. Job sites with longer, multi-step applications will cost more credits when we add them. See pricing.
When is a credit used?
A credit is held when you queue an application and kept only when the employer’s site confirms the submission. If the application fails, is skipped, can’t be confirmed, or you cancel it, the credit comes back to your balance automatically.
Can I get my money back for a pack?
Credits for applications that don’t go through are returned automatically. Purchased packs aren’t refundable except where the law requires it — if something went wrong, contact us and we’ll look at it.
Do you accept promo codes?
Yes — if you have one, enter it on the checkout page when you buy credits.
Privacy & data
Who sees my resume?
The employers you apply to, and the services that run ApplyJobs for us — such as our AI model provider (to read your resume and draft answers) and our hosting and storage providers. We don’t sell your data. See security and our privacy policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, any time, from the Account page. That deletes your resume and cover letter files and your account data. Applications you’ve already sent stay with those employers, under their own policies.
