Terms of Service
Last updated: October 29, 2026
These terms apply when you use the ApplyJobs website, job index and browser extension. By creating an account you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. What ApplyJobs does
ApplyJobs prepares job applications from the resume, profile and answers you provide and — through a browser extension running in your own browser — fills in and submits them on job postings hosted on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby. You choose what to apply to: links you paste, company job boards, postings you pick from our job index, or, if you turn it on, new postings that match a saved search. Nothing is submitted until you authorize automated applications in your profile.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure; you’re responsible for activity under your ApplyJobs account.
- One account per person, used to apply for yourself. Don’t apply on behalf of anyone else.
- You must be old enough to work and to enter into this agreement where you live.
3. Your authorization and responsibilities
- You authorize us to fill in and submit applications in your name for the jobs you choose, including — when you turn on automatic applying — new postings that match your saved searches, and to accept employers’ standard privacy and data-processing acknowledgments that a form requires. You can withdraw this authorization in your profile at any time; after that nothing new is submitted.
- You’re responsible for the accuracy of your resume, profile and saved answers. Applications are only as accurate as what you give us, and every application has a receipt you can review.
- Some answers — for example to “Why do you want to work here?” — and required cover letters may be written by AI from your resume and the job description. You can have those questions sent to you instead. Our AI is instructed not to invent facts, but you remain responsible for what’s submitted in your name.
- When a form asks you to attest that you didn’t use AI, we skip the job by default (or, if you choose, fill it only with answers you wrote). Don’t change your answers to make such a statement untrue.
- Don’t use ApplyJobs to submit false or misleading information, and follow each employer’s and job site’s terms.
- Resume reviews are suggestions written by AI. They can be wrong or incomplete, and they don’t guarantee interviews or offers. Check every suggestion before you use it — what goes on your resume is your call and your responsibility.
4. The job index and search
- Our index lists postings from companies’ public job boards. We re-read boards regularly, but listings can be incomplete, out of date or already closed. The employer’s own posting is always the source of truth.
- We aren’t an employer, recruiter or staffing agency, and we don’t verify employers or postings. Company names belong to their owners; listing a company doesn’t mean it is affiliated with or endorses ApplyJobs.
- Job boards you add may become part of the shared index that other users can search.
5. Saved searches and automatic applying
- With automatic applying on, we apply to new postings that match a saved search, within the daily limit you set for it, any per-company limit you’ve set and your credit balance. You choose the criteria and limits and can pause or delete a search at any time.
- Automatic applying only considers postings that appear after you turn it on, and pauses if your profile is missing something an application needs.
6. The browser extension
- The extension submits applications from your browser while it’s running. It only works on supported job sites and ApplyJobs itself. You can pause it or use dry-run mode, which fills in forms without submitting them.
- We never try to solve or bypass CAPTCHAs or other human checks. If a site asks for one, completing it is up to you; if it isn’t completed, the application isn’t charged.
7. Credits and payments
- Credits are bought in one-time packs through Stripe; there’s no subscription. Prices are shown before you pay and may change for future purchases.
- One credit (or the number shown for that job site) is held when you queue an application and spent only when the employer’s site confirms the submission. The held credit is returned when an application fails, is skipped, can’t be confirmed or is cancelled. Returns for applications that fail in your browser are automatic for up to 100 a day per account; beyond that, we review them before returning the credits.
- Promotion codes are subject to the conditions stated with them, have no cash value, and can be withdrawn before they are used.
- Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion. If a payment is refunded or reversed, the credits it bought are removed, which can leave a negative balance.
8. Emails
We send emails about your account and applications — for example when an application needs your answer. You can choose which of these you receive in the app.
9. Acceptable use
- Don’t scrape, copy or resell our site, job index or API, or access them by automated means other than our extension.
- Don’t interfere with or overload the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or get around its limits.
- Don’t use ApplyJobs to get around a job site’s or employer’s protections against automated use.
- Don’t create accounts in bulk or share accounts.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and you can close yours at any time from the Account page.
10. Other websites
Applications go through employers’ job systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby), which have their own terms and policies. Employers decide what to do with applications; we’re not responsible for their decisions or for those sites.
11. No guarantees
We don’t guarantee interviews, offers, or that any employer will receive, read or act on an application. Job sites change, and an application may occasionally fail or need your help.
12. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApplyJobs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
13. Changes
We may update the service and these terms. When the terms change we update the date above, and for significant changes we tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use ApplyJobs after that means you accept the new terms.
